TimberWorld are a leading supplier of T&G Flooring in Native and Imported Timbers. From Oaks to natives and hardwoods, TimberWorld has the widest range of ex-stock flooring in New Zealand. We import Eco-Friendly timbers from the South Pacific such as Vitex, Kwila, Akwa, Calophyllum and Rosewood. Our timbers are certified as being supplied from sustainable sources and give our customers an Eco-Conscious option when choosing their new floor. Supplementing our stocks are eucalypts and plantation grown timbers to ensure we have a timber suitable for every project.

TimberWorld also specialises in native timbers, so if you are working on your villa or bungalow, or simply prefer the look of New Zealand’s beautiful native timbers, we have large stocks of Rimu, Kauri, Tawa and Matai. Perfect for those completing an extension or remodelling of a colonial Bungalow or Villa. We also carry native flooring run to Imperial sizes so you can match existing floors. Check out our Swamp Kauri and Swamp Rimu options for something truly special!

We run all of our T&G flooring at our Mt Roskill machine shop which allows us to produce special sizes of T&G flooring on request for customers that would like to match an existing profile, should it fall outside of the bounds of our large range of ex-stock sizes. Overlay or full thickness? TimberWorld runs our flooring into two thicknesses: Overlay (13mm) or full thickness (19mm). Overlay is used where there is an existing substrate such as particle board, plywood, or concrete (or even existing timber flooring). Full thickness is used when you need structural timber to span joists. Some people prefer to use full thickness as an overlay for added security and stability - the added cost is marginal. TimberWorld runs our overlay with an offset tongue, meaning you can re sand the boards as many times as a full thickness floor, even though the boards are thinner! If you would like to view any of our timbers laid, then please come and visit us - one of our friendly, knowledgeable staff will talk you through your options and answer any questions you may have.
